Chevron in talks to expand operations in Venezuela

The company already produces roughly a quarter of Venezuela’s oil output, according to reporting from the New York Times Business desk.

Chevron, the second largest U.S. oil company, is reportedly in talks to expand its operations in Venezuela.

The New York Times Business said Chevron is building on its existing position in the South American country, where it already accounts for about one quarter of Venezuela’s oil production.
