Marex expands prime brokerage with aggregated FX and precious metals platform
The platform aggregates live pricing from multiple FX and precious metals dealers into a single executable stream, with smart-order-style routing to seek tighter prices and streamlined execution.
Marex has expanded its prime brokerage offering with a proprietary liquidity aggregation platform for foreign exchange and precious metals, aimed at hedge funds, asset managers and other professional investors, Hedgeweek reports.
The system connects liquidity from multiple FX and precious metals dealers through one prime brokerage relationship, letting clients access multiple pricing sources without setting up and managing separate bilateral relationships.
Marex said the platform is built around an aggregated pricing engine that combines live prices from liquidity providers into a single executable stream, paired with an execution system modeled on smart order routing to provide anonymous access to different liquidity pools in an effort to secure the best available price.
The offering also includes cross-margining across FX and precious metals exposures within Marex’s broader cross-asset prime brokerage infrastructure, and it bundles trading access with custody, clearing, settlement, confirmation and reconciliation through a single counterparty, the outlet added.
