Metropolitan Development starts construction on The Ferguson in Taylor, Texas

The four-story, 82-unit mixed-use condominium project is scheduled for completion in summer 2027.

Metropolitan Development Company (MDC) has started construction on The Ferguson, a mixed-use residential and retail project in Taylor, Texas, at 1300 W. Second St., according to ConnectCRE.

The development is described as the first and only condominium project in the city, intended to anchor Taylor’s historic downtown, with units including residential condominiums, live-work units for small business owners, and commercial units.

ConnectCRE says The Ferguson is a four-story project with 82 units and multiple floor plans, with plans to complete in summer 2027.

The project’s growth backdrop includes Taylor’s long-term expansion tied to the soon-to-open $16.5 billion Samsung semiconductor plant, ConnectCRE adds.
