Nvidia’s stock surge keeps it growing as revenue accelerates
In fiscal Q2 2027, Nvidia reported $96.2 billion in revenue, a 106% year over year increase, driven largely by data center sales and a new wave of Blackwell hardware.
Nvidia is expanding fast in both size and fundamentals, with its stock and market capitalization soaring over the last five years, while the company continues to report steep growth in quarterly results, according to Yahoo Finance.
For the fiscal second quarter of 2027, Nvidia generated $96.2 billion in total revenue, up 106% year over year. Adjusted earnings rose 120% to $2.22 per share, with the data center business remaining the main driver.
Sales in the data center segment totaled $89 billion for the quarter, up 18% sequentially and 117% year over year. The article points to expectations that major hyperscalers’ capital spending for 2026 and 2027 could reach approximately $800 billion and $1.3 trillion, respectively, as a tailwind for Nvidia’s infrastructure buildout.
The piece also highlights Nvidia’s deepening partnership with Amazon Web Services, including plans for AWS to deploy an additional 2 million Nvidia GPUs alongside Vera CPUs between fiscal Q2 2027 and fiscal Q2 2029. It adds that AWS will also make Nvidia’s Nemotron models available through its cloud services.
