Victoria's Secret shares jump nearly 300% on GLP-1 demand shift
The lingerie retailer is also seeing a roughly 3% decline in customers buying smaller bra and underwear sizes, which management links to weight loss from GLP-1 drugs.
Victoria's Secret shares have surged nearly 300% over the past year, helped by stronger sales, a revamped brand strategy, and a new management team, as the company trades under ticker VSXY after a June 2026 name change, according to Yahoo Finance.
Analysts cited an Ozempic-era tailwind for lingerie, arguing that the rapid growth in GLP-1 weight-loss medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound is reshaping consumer spending patterns, including more frequent replacement of intimate apparel as body size and shape change.
The outlet also highlighted the company is monitoring how GLP-1 medications affect its shoppers. Fortune and Reuters reports referenced by Yahoo Finance point to a roughly 3% shift toward smaller purchases in bra and underwear sizing, along with GLP-1 users returning to physical stores as fitting becomes harder without trying items on.
A ReturnPro survey cited by Yahoo Finance found that 58% of GLP-1 users spend on premium or higher-priced apparel when they shop in person, reinforcing the idea that the weight-loss drug trend is boosting demand for lingerie retailers like Victoria's Secret.
