Bessent says his conversation with Druckenmiller went fine after op-ed
He made the remarks at a G20 finance meeting, saying he spoke with Stanley Druckenmiller after Druckenmiller’s criticism of bond intervention was published.
British Treasury minister-designate Scott Bessent pushed back on criticism of bond intervention after a key exchange with investor Stanley Druckenmiller, according to CNBC Markets.
Bessent said that after Druckenmiller published a critical op-ed, he spoke with him and their conversation went “fine,” CNBC reported.
CNBC World said the comments were made during Bessent’s participation in a G20 finance meeting.
