Sberbank targets $46 billion in crypto trading, plans Ethereum and USDT loans
Decrypt reports Sberbank expects crypto trading to reach 4 trillion rubles in its first year, with crypto-backed lending set to expand once regulators approve.
Russia’s Sberbank is preparing to scale up its crypto activities, targeting crypto trading volume of $46 billion and expanding its lending products to include Ethereum and USDT-backed loans, Decrypt reports.
Decrypt says the bank’s deputy chairman Anatoly Popov told state media that crypto trading could reach 4 trillion rubles in the first year.
The bank also plans to broaden crypto-backed lending after regulators sign off, according to Decrypt.
