Peak Re appoints Nattakorn Wattanaumphaipong as global distribution head

The Hong Kong-domiciled reinsurer said the new role will cover distribution and partnerships as part of its Singapore branch expansion plan.

Hong Kong-domiciled global reinsurer Peak Re has appointed Nattakorn Wattanaumphaipong as its Global Head of Distribution and Partnerships, according to Reinsurance News.

Wattanaumphaipong brings more than two decades of reinsurance and insurance experience, including senior leadership work in management, reinsurance underwriting, and business development across Asia Pacific. Most recently, he served at Great American Insurance Group as Head of Technical and Specialty Underwriting, with responsibilities that included technical underwriting and portfolio management tied to the Singapore Branch’s business expansion plan.

Before Great American Insurance Group, he spent over six years at Canopius Group in Singapore, serving as Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for Asia Pacific and as Head of Property and Casualty Reinsurance, Asia Pacific. Earlier in his career at Swiss Re, he held roles including Head of Property Underwriting for Asia based in Singapore and Head of P&C China based in Beijing, as well as agriculture underwriting and senior property underwriting roles across Asia Pacific.
