Britons seek cheaper restaurant meals as dining costs rise

In response, eateries are leaning on promotions and customer incentives, including loyalty programs that unlock perks, as well as discount apps that offer reduced prices for specific dining slots. BBC Business also notes that discounts are often largest off-peak, with examples including earlier or later sittings and initiatives during school holidays such as free or £1 kids meals, plus occasional offers tied to newly opened restaurants.
