OpenAI says Astra AI model reaches critical cybersecurity level

OpenAI said its Astra AI model is its first to cross what it describes as a Critical cybersecurity capability threshold, signaling a step up in the company’s focus on security-related performance.

CNBC Markets reports that OpenAI plans to make Astra available soon, but users will not have full access to all of its cybersecurity capabilities.

The company said availability for the cybersecurity portion of Astra will be limited, rather than broadly offered at launch.
