Defiance Autism Impact ETF launches with equal weight approach
The Defiance Autism Impact ETF (ASD) launched in June 2026, holds roughly 40 companies, and targets autism-related exposure across drugs, diagnostics, and specialized education.
Defiance has launched the Defiance Autism Impact ETF (ASD), built around a broader autism care theme rather than a single drug or company, ETF Trends reports. The fund is designed to track the VettaFi Autism Impact Index and use an equal-weight methodology.
The ETF focuses on three areas of the autism ecosystem, drugs and behavioral therapeutics, diagnostics and assessment, and specialized education and educational technology, according to ETF Trends. The index includes companies beyond pure-play autism providers.
ASD launched in June 2026 and currently holds roughly 40 companies. ETF Trends lists holdings such as Neuren Pharmaceuticals, LifeStance Health Group, and Acadia Healthcare.
ETF Trends also said VettaFi analyst Kirsten Chang and Defiance ETFs chief investment officer Brendan Cavanaugh will discuss the opportunity in a free webinar on September 18, covering how trends are reshaping the autism care landscape and what investors may consider when seeking exposure to the theme.
