Summers Value Fund posts 41.7% Q2 gain, citing small-cap strength
The boutique manager said its The Summers Value Fund returned 41.7% net in Q2 2026 and held about 13% cash during the quarter.
Summers Value Partners highlighted strong performance from its The Summers Value Fund in a Q2 2026 investor update, saying the fund returned 41.7% net in the quarter. The firm contrasted that result with the Russell 2000 Index ETF, IWM, which returned 21.4%, and the Russell 2000 Value Index ETF, IWN, which returned 17.1%, according to the update.
The fund also cited favorable market conditions, particularly in small-cap and healthcare stocks, as support for its investment opportunities. Summers Value Partners said The Summers Value Fund marked its best quarter since inception and achieved profitability on both long and short positions.
The update also pointed to cash management, noting the fund maintained a cash position of approximately 13%. In addition, it referenced Consensus Cloud Solutions, Inc., NASDAQ CCSI, as a highlighted holding, describing it as a healthcare-focused information delivery services company providing cloud-based fax through its eFax brand.
In the period discussed, Consensus Cloud Solutions closed on August 31, 2026 at $38.25 per share, the update said. It added that the stock was down 0.65% over the prior month, up 44.4% over the past year, and had a market capitalization of about $700.9 million, while noting the company was previously a spin-off from J2 Global and had faced a drawdown after missed expectations and an accounting restatement, based on the fund commentary.
