Descartes buys Extensiv in $120 million logistics tech deal
The acquisition follows Descartes' $100 million purchase of Tai last week and expands its warehouse management and ecommerce fulfillment offerings.
Descartes Systems Group said it has acquired warehouse management and fulfillment technology provider Extensiv in a $120 million transaction, as the company builds out its logistics services network.
Extensiv, based in California, supports 3PLs with inventory management and order fulfillment, using AI tools to apply omnichannel data to warehouse decision making.
Descarte said the deal strengthens its position with additional fulfillment intelligence and contextually rich operational data, and it is intended to deepen Descartes' reach into the logistics services provider market.
The company noted the Extensiv purchase comes after its $100 million acquisition of Tai last week, and it added that it previously bought other logistics-focused tech firms including Drivin for $30 million in July and Idelic for $28 million in April. Descartes is scheduled to report fiscal 2027 second-quarter results on Sept. 10 after the market closes.
