Atlantic Avenue leads HECM broker endorsements as higher rates curb activity

Atlantic Avenue Mortgage notched 994 HECM endorsements over the past 12 months, up from 978 the prior month, while the U.S. faces rising debt and refinancing costs at higher rates, according to HousingWire.

Atlantic Avenue Mortgage topped June 2026 Home Equity Conversion Mortgage broker and third-party originator endorsement rankings, posting a 12-month rolling total of 994 endorsements, according to a report released Thursday by HECMWorld. The leader’s total rose from 978 endorsements in the prior month. loanDepot held second place with 464 endorsements over the trailing 12 months, while Caliver Beach Mortgage remained third with 359. Caliver Beach’s rolling total continued to drift lower, with June volume totaling 20 endorsements. C2 Financial Corp. moved into fourth place with 188 endorsements, and West Capital Lending rounded out the top five with 173. HousingWire also highlighted broader pressures on the reverse mortgage segment, citing commentary from Longbridge Financial vice president of capital markets and strategy Dan Ribler. Ribler pointed to a roughly $2.1 trillion annual U.S. deficit and growing interest costs as older, lower-rate Treasury debt matures, adding that if rates stay near current levels, refinances could add about $300 billion a year in interest costs by the end of the next five years.
