Bitget CEO says it is in talks with major Wall Street firms for Asia
Bitget says about half its 125 million registered users are in East and Southeast Asia, where it is seeking wider distribution of tokenized ETF products.
Bitget is discussing ways to expand the distribution of digital-asset products in Asia with major financial institutions, including BlackRock, according to CEO Gracy Chen, speaking to CoinDesk.
Chen said she is talking with Wall Street firms to understand their approaches and explore collaboration on distribution of tokenized exchange-traded funds in the region, and cited Bitget’s communication with BlackRock on Asia distribution.
BlackRock confirmed that its crypto exchange-traded products are already available in Asia and said it regularly engages with a range of participants across the crypto ecosystem, while declining to comment on any specific expansion plans in the region.
The talks come as Asia’s blockchain-based crypto-asset transactions grew 69% year-over-year as of June 2025, and BlackRock has previously said that even a 1% regional allocation to crypto could generate nearly $2 trillion in inflows.
