HSBC calls AI adoption and resilient growth key to Q4 2026 equities
The bank added exposure to global stocks, favoring the US and Asia, while citing attractive real bond yields and gold as portfolio stabilizers.
HSBC strategists highlighted accelerating AI adoption, resilient growth, and broadening earnings as factors supporting global equities into Q4 2026, according to FXStreet’s summary of remarks by HSBC’s Willem Sels.
The note said HSBC has recently increased exposure to global stocks, favoring the US and Asia while keeping diversification across sectors.
HSBC pointed to attractive real yields in bonds and non-traditional assets such as gold, infrastructure, and other alternative holdings as income and resilience sources if equities and bonds face volatility.
The outlook also flagged ongoing headline risks, including unresolved Middle East developments, lingering inflation uncertainty, and US mid-term elections that could continue to move markets alongside the AI-driven optimism.
