Hyperliquid Strategies expands token buying financing facility to $2.5B
Filings indicate about $763.7 million was already raised, leaving roughly $236.3 million of headroom before sales reach the $1 billion trigger that tightens dilution limits.
Hyperliquid Strategies, a Nasdaq-listed company that uses equity sales to build a treasury of its HYPE token, expanded its committed-equity facility with Chardan Capital Markets to $2.5 billion from $1 billion, according to regulatory filings cited by CryptoSlate.
The larger facility does not mean guaranteed token purchases at that full scale. Hyperliquid Strategies disclosed $646.6 million of gross facility proceeds through June 30, followed by another $117.1 million raised through facility shares after quarter-end, implying at least $763.7 million in proceeds already drawn.
That leaves no more than about $236.3 million before aggregate sales reach the $1 billion level where an issue cap based on share pricing and dilution constraints comes into play. The operative amendment also ties the restriction to the number of facility shares issued below a $12.02 threshold, with the exchange cap equivalent to 19.99% of the company’s pre-amendment voting power.
CryptoSlate also notes that the company previously said it deployed $773.4 million to acquire about 16.5 million HYPE and held roughly 29.3 million HYPE in total, underscoring that the $2.5 billion facility represents optional financing capacity rather than a guaranteed token-buying program.
