Retirement communities expand care to help seniors age in place

The model aims to broaden at-home support while giving residents a way to manage rapidly rising aging-related costs.

Continuing care retirement communities are expanding beyond traditional campus settings to deliver retirement home care in seniors’ own homes, according to the NYT Business.

The shift centers on providing “measured supports” that can help retirees stay in place as they age.

The outlet says the approach is also intended to address the cost pressure of aging by offering a mechanism to cap soaring expenses over time.
