NEXA Lending appoints Geri Farr as CEO, Mike Kortas shifts to executive partner
The leadership change is designed to split day to day operations from longer term growth initiatives, including new concepts, partnerships, and acquisitions.
NEXA Lending named Geri Farr as its chief executive officer, while founder and former CEO Mike Kortas will move into the executive partner role, HousingWire reported.
According to the company, the change is intended to separate day to day operations from longer-term growth and innovation, with executive partners focusing on initiatives such as new business concepts, partnerships, and acquisitions.
Farr will oversee NEXA’s executive team and daily operations, including Chief Administrative Officer Rana Mortensen, Chief Operating Officer Jason duPont, Chief Strategy Officer Tammy Richards, and Chief Financial Officer Von Maharaj.
In comments reported by HousingWire, Kortas said he is comfortable giving up the CEO title and highlighted that Farr is better positioned to run day to day operations, while he plans to spend more time on creating what comes next.
