Marex appoints Allison DiClemente to lead global capital introduction
Her new role oversees a 13-person team spanning the Americas, the UK, the Middle East and Asia, and targets emerging hedge fund managers seeking institutional allocators.
Marex has appointed Allison DiClemente as global head of capital introduction, a role designed to help hedge fund managers connect with institutional investors across major markets, Hedgeweek reports.
DiClemente, based in New York, leads a 13-person team and will cover the Americas, the UK, the Middle East and Asia as Marex expands its prime services footprint. She joined Marex Prime Services in May 2024 as an executive director after previously spending two decades in financial services, including 15 years at Barclays Corporate and Investment Bank as director of capital introduction and business development.
At Marex, her remit focuses on emerging hedge fund managers looking to build relationships with institutional allocators. The firm said its capital-introduction platform is built around fund manager requirements and allocator preferences, and it provides access to about 2,100 institutional investors, investment advisers and family offices globally.
Marex said the appointment reflects how hedge fund managers increasingly compete for institutional allocations in a crowded alternatives market, with capital introduction positioned as an added relationship channel beyond financing and execution for prime services clients. The firm also noted that capital-introduction professionals operate in cities including New York, San Francisco, Dallas, São Paulo, London, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
