Corning and Verizon sign multi-year fiber supply deal for AI era

Corning and Verizon have signed a multi-year optical fiber supply agreement aimed at supporting expanding broadband access and long-haul transport needs tied to the AI buildout, according to MarketBeat Ratings. The pact covers more than 80 million miles of high-density optical fiber and connectivity solutions for the 2027 to 2032 period.
Under the deal announced Sept. 8, 2026, Verizon will secure domestic optical fiber capacity to expand residential broadband and construct long-haul transport routes. The arrangement extends a 30-year operational relationship between the companies and is structured to provide supply certainty as communications hardware capacity tightens.
