DoubleZero adds Kalshi election markets to its data platform
The move expands DoubleZero Edge beyond sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures, ahead of the November 3 midterms.
DoubleZero Foundation said it has added Kalshi’s elections and politics prediction markets to its DoubleZero Edge market data delivery platform ahead of the November midterms. The Block reports the addition increases institutional access to a broader range of prediction markets, moving beyond DoubleZero’s prior coverage that included sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures.
Kalshi said the election markets provide a real-time, tradable view of shifting expectations as political events develop, and that easier data integration into institutional workflows can help firms price risk, manage exposure, and adjust positions as expectations change, according to The Block.
The Block also notes that regulators in Washington and at the state level have been debating how prediction markets should be regulated, including issues related to sports betting. It added that U.S. prediction market activity has already surpassed the 2024 election cycle in at least some races, with more than $133 million traded in certain contests as of mid-August, citing Reuters.
