Revolut launches EURR stablecoin rollout in Denmark, Poland, Portugal
Bridge Building said EURR supply was €374, versus Circle’s €394.5 million EURC in circulation as of late August.
Revolut has started rolling out EURR, its first euro-backed stablecoin, to selected customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, using a branded onchain euro inside the Revolut app. The program is set up with Bridge Building S.A. as the issuer and redemption counterparty, while Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd acts as the offeror and admits EURR to trading on the Revolut X platform, according to Revolut’s legal disclosures, as reported by The Defiant.
The distribution model relies on Revolut’s app channel, which the company says is used by more than 75 million customers, but EURR access is initially limited to eligible users in the three test markets. Revolut says users can move between euros, crypto, external wallets, and supported blockchain networks, and it expects EURR availability to expand to more markets later this year.
EURR is designated as an e-money token under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, with Luxembourg regulators listing Bridge Building as an authorized electronic money institution as of June 29, 2026. Bridge is also listed as an active crypto-asset service provider with custody, exchange, and transfer permissions, and tokenholders have the right to redeem EURR at par against Bridge subject to the applicable redemption process.
On backing and supply, Bridge’s reserve disclosure shows EURR funds are safeguarded in segregated accounts at regulated credit institutions or invested in eligible, highly liquid euro-denominated instruments. The supply snapshot cited by The Defiant shows EURR at €374 in circulation and €374 in reserve assets as of Aug. 25, with all backing reported as cash deposits, and Bridge identifies Ethereum and Polygon as EURR chains, while Circle reported €394.5 million of EURC in circulation as of Aug. 24.
