Wintermute-Tagged Wallet Sells $2.08M of LAPTOP on Launch Day
On-chain analyst Lookonchain said the wallet sold 466,255 LAPTOP at an average price of $4.47 after receiving a traced team allocation.
On-chain analyst Lookonchain said a LAPTOP address tagged by Arkham as Wintermute sold 466,255 LAPTOP for about $2.08 million after receiving tokens traced to the project team. Lookonchain linked the activity to project-allocated inventory that moved out on the token’s launch day, and said the address received part of a 2.5 million-token team allocation from the Laptop Token team.
Lookonchain reported the sales were executed at an average price of $4.47, while Arkham supported the wallet attribution but did not disclose the underlying relationship between Wintermute and the project. The retained sources also did not establish whether the wallet was trading under Wintermute’s own account, operating under a market-making arrangement, or acting for another party.
Separately, trader Jaider Hurtado described LAPTOP’s opening market as unusually thin, saying liquidity on Aerodrome and Uniswap pools “opened nearly empty.” He reported a displayed price decline from $316.75 at 12:03 UTC to about $6 at 12:40 UTC, roughly a 98% drop, and said the pools still showed about $10 million of first-hour volume despite the low starting liquidity.
Hurtado’s post did not prove that the sales Lookonchain described went through the specific pools he referenced. Lookonchain said the wallet retained a material balance, with Arkham displaying 200,745 LAPTOP at the address and BaseScan showing 200,744.99999998 LAPTOP.
