Active Tech ETF TTEQ outperformed its benchmark over the last year

Active ETFs have surged in popularity and new launches have followed, and one fund standing out in the active tech category is the T. Rowe Price Technology ETF, ticker TTEQ, according to ETF Trends.
ETF Trends reports that TTEQ has spiked over the past 12 months, beating its benchmark and rivals in that period. The fund charges 63 basis points and uses the MSCI All Country World Index Net Index as its benchmark, which returned 14.7% year to date, according to MSCI data.
Over the last 12 months, TTEQ returned 38.4%, outpacing both the benchmark and a peer, the iShares A.I. Innovation and Tech Active ETF, which returned 36.4% in the same window, per ETF Database data. YTD, TTEQ returned 37.2%, ETF Database data shows.
ETF Trends also notes that TTEQ is managed by Dom Rizzo and can invest across global technology exposure by using an active approach to select companies, including both large caps and smaller innovators. The outlet adds that the strategy includes fundamental research and that TTEQ has made a private investment in OpenAI.
