Bitwise launches Lighter ETP on Deutsche Börse Xetra
The Bitwise Lighter Staking ETP is fully backed by LIT in cold storage and charges a 0.85% annual expense ratio, though staking rewards will start only after it builds enough assets under management.
Bitwise Asset Management has launched a European exchange traded product that tracks Lighter’s LIT token, giving investors an on exchange wrapper without having to buy or hold LIT directly.
The Bitwise Lighter Staking ETP, BLIT, began trading on Deutsche Börse Xetra. Bitwise said the ETP is fully backed by LIT held in cold storage and carries a 0.85% annual expense ratio.
Bitwise also clarified that BLIT is not generating staking rewards yet. The firm said staking will begin once the product reaches enough assets under management to make the process efficient, while the ETP currently tracks LIT’s price only.
The Lighter platform is described as an Ethereum based decentralized exchange focused on perpetual futures, using zero knowledge proofs to verify trades while letting users retain control of their assets rather than depositing with a centralized exchange. Cointelegraph added that Lighter recorded nearly $1.8 billion in trading volume over the past 24 hours, citing CoinGecko data, and that Robinhood integrated Lighter into Robinhood Chain in July, enabling eligible wallet users to trade perpetual futures.
