BlackRock expects AI agents to use stablecoins for computing and data
CoinDesk reports BlackRock views stablecoins as a nearer-term fit for payments, while markets for buying computing capacity are still early.
CoinDesk reports that BlackRock believes AI agents will increasingly need to buy their own computing power and data, and that stablecoins could be used to facilitate those transactions.
The outlet says the asset manager sees the payments use case as the more immediate opportunity, rather than the broader market for trading computing capacity, which it characterizes as still early in development.
