Blockchain.com and NYSE plan tokenized US stocks access via digital ATS

The memorandum of understanding also includes an exchange of market data between Blockchain.com and NYSE affiliate ICE Data Services.

Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange have signed a memorandum of understanding to let Blockchain.com users access tokenized US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds through NYSE’s planned digital trading platform, pending regulatory approval, Cointelegraph reports. Under the proposed arrangement, Blockchain.com would distribute tokenized US equities and ETFs that trade on NYSE’s digital alternative trading system, or ATS. The agreement is also designed to extend NYSE’s planned tokenized securities offering to Blockchain.com’s global customer base. The deal would cover an exchange of market data as well. NYSE affiliate ICE Data Services plans to distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data and analytics to its clients, while Blockchain.com would add certain ICE and NYSE market data feeds to its platform.

Cointelegraph quotes TD Securities executive Reid Noch, who said the planned tokenized ATS appears aimed at retail flow and highlights features such as 24/7 trading and request-for-quote functionality. Noch also pointed to the potential impact of true weekend trading on retail focused names and around episodic news events.
