Fake IT hiring scheme tied to $11M theft from 7,000 crypto wallets

A seven-agency advisory from Decrypt describes a scheme tied to North Korea that allegedly drained funds from thousands of crypto wallets.
According to the advisory, activity linked to the WaterPlum hacking crew was connected to Pyongyang's remote IT worker effort, with the two tied to the same bureau.
The advisory says the theft totaled $11 million taken from 7,000 crypto wallets, according to Decrypt.
