Fathom makes UK region of flood catastrophe model free to access

Fathom has announced that the UK region of its flagship flood catastrophe model, Global Flood Cat, is now freely available to access.

According to Reinsurance News, the company says the data is validated and climate-conditioned, aiming to help re/insurers, brokers, and financial institutions support underwriting decisions, capital allocation, and broader risk management.

Reinsurance News also notes that Fathom was acquired by Swiss Re, placing the open access update in the context of the insurer group’s re/insurance risk modelling capabilities.
