Hannover Re and Aon highlight the need for enduring reinsurance partnerships
Hannover Re’s Sven Althoff said growing reinsurance capital and more complex client needs are pushing cedents toward longer-term, predictable relationships with aligned profitability.
Reinsurance News reports that as reinsurance capital has become more abundant, cedents are increasingly seeking holistic, enduring partnerships that emphasize predictability and profitability alignment.
At Aon’s latest Capital Outlook panel, Sven Althoff, Hannover Re’s Member of the Executive Board for Property and Casualty, said reinsurance demand is also becoming more complex, increasing the importance of partner models designed for the long term.
The discussion included Anshuman Srivastava, Aon’s Global Chief Broking Officer, who raised questions during the panel as the industry weighs how brokers and reinsurers should respond to shifting client expectations.
The outlet framed the exchange as part of a broader look at how the reinsurance market is adapting as capital levels rise and customer needs evolve.
