IonQ shares rise after successful real-time error decoder test
The company said the test was the industry’s first real-time end-to-end error decoder, driving a post-news jump in its stock price.
IonQ shares rose after the quantum computing company said it completed a successful test of what it called the industry’s first real-time end-to-end error decoder.
According to CNBC Markets, the stock move followed the announcement that the decoder performed during a real-time, end-to-end testing run.
The update positions the company’s quantum hardware and error correction approach as moving from concept toward real-time operation, at least within the scope of the reported test.
