21Shares launches Zcash ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam
The physically backed 21Shares Zcash ETP charges a 2.5% annual fee and trades under tickers ZCASH, offering European brokerage access to ZEC without direct token custody.
21Shares has launched a physically backed Zcash exchange traded product on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, giving European investors a brokerage route to ZEC without buying and custodying tokens themselves. The issuer said the listing opened Sept. 22, with the product trading as ZCASH, including a euro listing in Paris and a dollar listing in Amsterdam. The ETP’s ISIN is CH1608218801.
The product holds ZEC in its structure while investors hold the listed ETP, a different experience from acquiring coins and moving them between personal wallets. 21Shares set an annual fee of 2.5%, and brokerage charges may add to total costs.
Zcash’s rally appeared to start before the ETP arrived. ZEC traded around $1,540 on Sept. 19, and on Sept. 23 it reached a 24 hour high of $1,651 before retracing to about $1,487 as of press time.
CryptoSlate also cited recent on chain activity indicators tied to Zcash. Messari reported Zcash transfer volume of more than $23 billion last week, the highest weekly total since 2021 and second highest on record, while Zodl reported 62,379 shielded transactions last week, the highest weekly reading since 2022. Both measures point to network movement and shielded activity rather than direct measures of new capital into the ETP.
