American tenor Christopher Macchio to perform at Xi state dinner
Macchio’s announcement came shortly after Xi Jinping arrived at Joint Base Andrews for a three-day state visit.
An American tenor, Christopher Macchio, will perform at the White House banquet for Chinese President Xi Jinping during Xi’s first US state visit in more than a decade, according to SCMP Economy.
Macchio said on social media that he is honored to return to Washington, DC, to perform at the state dinner with Donald Trump and President Xi, and he tagged the relevant official accounts.
The announcement was posted shortly after Xi arrived at Joint Base Andrews for a three-day state visit, with the visit reciprocating Trump’s trip to Beijing in May.
