BlackRock to tokenize investment model portfolios using digital tokens
The new model portfolios, built with ETF baskets, will be tokenized by Ondo Finance.
The Wall Street Journal reports that BlackRock Investment Portfolios will launch in a tokenized format, using digital tokens rather than traditional account-based ownership.
The money manager said three model portfolios will be developed to hold baskets of ETFs, with tokenization handled through Ondo Finance.
The rollout centers on the ability to represent ETF-based portfolios on the blockchain through tokenized structures, according to the report.
