Devens plans 65 affordable apartments on 6.6-acre Adams Circle site
The project is expected to be built from 2029 to 2031, after a change in Massachusetts law removed a cap that had limited Devens to 282 housing units.
ConnectCRE reports that MassDevelopment has signed a letter of intent with Metro West Collaborative Development to sell a 6.6-acre site at Adams Circle in Devens.
Metro West Collaborative Development plans to build 65 new apartments across six buildings on the property, with units targeted to households earning between 30% and 80% of area median income.
The outlet says the development proposal is enabled by the Mass Leads Act, signed by Gov. Maura Healey in November 2024, which removed the prior cap limiting Devens to 282 housing units and allows additional housing parcels already zoned for development.
ConnectCRE adds that Metro West Collaborative Development partnered with Utile, Inc. on the site plan, and estimates construction will take place between 2029 and 2031.
