Northern Ireland gym equipment firms expand internationally

Economic output in Northern Ireland rose 2.3% in the year to June, with firms reporting faster activity than the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Northern Ireland's economic output, broadly equivalent to UK GDP, grew 2.3% in the year to June, according to BBC Business.

BBC Business highlights BLK BOX, a Newtownabbey-based gym equipment company founded 14 years ago, which has secured contracts with customers globally including sports teams such as Manchester United and gym chains like PureGym.

The company works internationally across the EU and markets including the US, Sri Lanka, Maldives, India, and Australia, and has grown its workforce to 180 staff, the outlet reports.

BBC Business also says BLK BOX is expanding across France, Spain, Germany and other countries, and adds that the Windsor Framework has been seen as advantageous versus English competitors.
