SlowMist has not confirmed crypto theft tied to iPhone Safari attack

The firm said its strongest technical evidence applies to iOS 18.4 through iOS 18.6, and it has not independently confirmed a victim compromise from the specific Safari sample it analyzed.

SlowMist has not independently confirmed a cryptocurrency theft linked to a reported iPhone Safari attack, according to Cointelegraph.

The analyzed Safari sample targets iOS 18.4 to iOS 18.6.2 using previously patched flaws, while its effectiveness on iOS 26.5 remains unverified, SlowMist said.

Cointelegraph reports that while multiple warnings urged iPhone users to update their devices, SlowMist said it has not confirmed a victim compromised by the specific Safari attack sample it analyzed, and its strongest technical evidence covers iOS 18.4 through 18.6.
