AMF warns Pump.fun is not registered and can’t solicit Quebec investors

The AMF said its Sept. 25 notice is limited to Pump.fun’s lack of Autorité des marchés financiers registration and authorization to solicit investors in Quebec, without announcing a website ban or wallet access change.

Québec’s securities regulator, the AMF, warned on Sept. 25, 2026, that Pump.fun is not registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers and is not authorized to solicit investors in the province.

CryptoSlate reports that the AMF categorized the notice as a cryptoasset and high-risk platform warning, tied to Pump.fun’s user-generated digital asset services and a specific question for Quebec residents about whether the platform may seek their investment business.

The Canadian Securities Administrators also posted the alert, identifying the AMF as the issuer and repeating the registration and solicitation finding, while indicating there was no separate additional CSA measure described.

The regulator’s notice was limited in scope, with no announcement of a website ban, an enforcement order, a fraud finding, or any change to users’ wallet access.
