Fairstead finishes $26M rehab of Houston affordable community

Fairstead has completed a $26 million rehabilitation of Coppertree Village, a 324-unit fully affordable housing community in Houston’s Acres Homes neighborhood, according to ConnectCRE.

The renovation work included upgrades to apartment interiors and building exteriors, enhancements to community amenities and security features, and redevelopment of the outdoor playground.

Coppertree Village is located at 1415 West Gulf Bank Road and has a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences across 19 residential buildings. The community is owned and managed by Fairstead, with rehabilitation partners including R4 Capital and Woodforest National Bank.

Fairstead acquired Coppertree Village in September 2021, and renovations were completed in August, the outlet reported.
