NeighborWorks America awards $4.14M in grants for affordable homes
The supplemental grants cover capital projects for 363 affordable homes, plus disaster recovery and sustainable business initiatives.
HousingWire reports that NeighborWorks America awarded $4.14 million in supplemental grants to 23 network organizations across 17 states and the District of Columbia.
The funding is intended to support capital projects that back 363 affordable homes, along with disaster recovery from hurricanes, wildfires, and floods, as well as sustainable business initiatives.
The awards are part of NeighborWorks America’s broader flexible grant program that totals more than $80 million for fiscal year 2026.
In a statement, NeighborWorks America President and CEO Marietta Rodriguez said the grants are meant to give communities immediate resources to repair and rebuild after disasters and help local organizations build capacity and resilience.
