EEX to launch physically settled daily natural gas futures in Europe
The new contracts will cover four hubs, including TTF in the Netherlands, and start trading on 23 November 2026 on EEX's T7 platform.
The European Energy Exchange (EEX) plans to launch physically settled daily natural gas futures across four major European gas hubs, expanding tools for managing short-term natural gas price exposure, according to Hedgeweek.
EEX says the contracts will be introduced on its T7 futures trading platform on 23 November 2026, with coverage for the Dutch TTF, German THE, Austrian CEGH VTP and French PEG hubs.
The exchange said the daily maturity will let participants take positions with greater granularity than existing contracts, and that a new Day-Month spread functionality will support relative-value trading strategies.
EEX also noted the spread product could be relevant during the period when European gas storage facilities are being replenished ahead of the winter demand season.
