Man charged after AI-generated crocodile image prompts Singapore search
Authorities searched Pandan Reservoir and suspended water activities after the AI image went viral, and prosecutors later charged Ye Lin with two offenses.
A 30-year-old man, Ye Lin, was charged in Singapore after an AI-generated image of a crocodile at Pandan Reservoir prompted authorities to search for the reptile and suspend water activities there, according to SCMP Economy.
SCMP Economy reports that the Myanmar national was handed two charges, one count of communicating a false message and one count of obstructing the course of justice.
In court, Ye Lin, speaking through an interpreter, said he intended to plead guilty and would not be engaging a lawyer, SCMP Economy added.
