Nikkei slides 0.8% in early trade on auto and steel weakness
Japanese stocks were lower in early trading, with the Nikkei down 0.8%.
The decline was attributed to weakness in auto and steel stocks, while investors also weighed uncertainty around the Iran conflict.
WSJ Markets also cited higher borrowing costs as an additional pressure on Japanese equities.
