Nvidia launches Open Agent Safety Platform to curb rogue AI agents
Nvidia says the Open Agent Safety Platform includes OpenShell for sandboxed execution and Sentry hardware to quarantine agents that try to cross access boundaries.
Nvidia has introduced its Open Agent Safety Platform, a software package intended to reduce concerns that AI agents could go rogue and breach their testing environments.
According to Cointelegraph, the platform combines OpenShell, an open source runtime designed to run agents in sandboxed environments with controlled access to files, tools, and networks, with Sentry, a hardware security layer that monitors agents and can quarantine them if they attempt to cross those boundaries.
Cointelegraph reports that Nvidia launched the platform with more than 100 industry partners, as the company moves to address recent incidents in which several AI agents reportedly breached testing environments earlier in the year.
