Tesla’s Semi enters volume production at new Nevada factory
Tesla says the Nevada plant is designed to produce as many as 50,000 electric trucks per year once at full capacity.
Tesla has moved its electric Semi truck into volume production, delivering the first trucks to paying customers from a dedicated Nevada factory.
The move comes nine years after the Semi was first unveiled, giving the company a new heavy-duty revenue stream that has largely been limited to a small pilot fleet until now.
The Nevada facility is built alongside Tesla’s existing operations and has capacity to produce up to 50,000 electric trucks per year when operating at full tilt.
