KYND adds AI discovery tool to improve cyber underwriting visibility
The capability is designed to map AI technologies tied to a firm’s externally visible footprint using a single domain, without requiring data supplied by the organization.
Cyber risk intelligence company KYND has introduced a new “AI discovery” capability for cyber underwriting, intended to help insurers identify artificial intelligence technologies visible in an organization’s external digital environment during risk selection.
The tool is built to let underwriters identify AI technologies associated with an entity’s external footprint using a single domain, and KYND says it does not require information to be supplied by the organization.
KYND said insurers typically rely on what businesses disclose during underwriting, creating a visibility gap when AI is adopted or used without being captured through existing governance processes.
The development comes as businesses continue deploying AI across different parts of their operations, and the company said independently observed technology intelligence can complement traditional inputs such as proposal forms and discussions with prospective insureds.
