Stand With Crypto backs first Senate candidates after Clarity Act collapse

The Coinbase-launched advocacy group plans to increase advertising across six House races as it shifts its push to the campaign trail.

Stand With Crypto, the advocacy group Coinbase launched in 2023, unveiled its first Senate endorsements as industry lobbying after the Clarity Act collapsed in the Senate. Decrypt reports the group announced the slate Wednesday, positioning the political push for the weeks leading up to November midterms.

According to Decrypt, the first Senate endorsements cover three races. In Ohio, it backed Republican Sen. Jon Husted, and in Iowa it endorsed Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson for a Senate seat, while in New Hampshire it backed Democrat Rep. Chris Pappas.

On the House side, Stand With Crypto endorsed Iowa Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Alabama Democrat Shomari Figures, and said it would ramp up advertising in six House campaigns. Decrypt also noted the group previously endorsed 32 House incumbents in August, which it described as digital asset policy champions.
