50,000 Europeans urge EU to loosen stablecoin rewards limits in MiCA review

The push comes as the European Commission closed its MiCA review consultation on Wednesday.

More than 50,000 Europeans have asked the European Commission to loosen restrictions on stablecoin rewards as it reviews the bloc’s Markets in Crypto-Assets, or MiCA, framework, according to Cointelegraph citing crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto EU.

The group said regulated stablecoin providers should be allowed to offer incentives such as cashback, loyalty benefits, and fee reductions as part of the rules update.

Cointelegraph reported the campaign followed the Commission’s closure of its MiCA review consultation on Wednesday, with Stand With Crypto EU describing the letter drive as a response to that process.
