Arthur Hayes says money printing could boost crypto prices
Hayes, Maelstrom fund CIO, argued that AI funding needs could push policymakers toward monetary expansion despite falling service costs.
Arthur Hayes, chief investment officer at the Maelstrom fund, said at CONNECT by Cointelegraph: Seoul Edition that US policymakers could lift cryptocurrency prices by printing more money to support AI and finance government debt.
Speaking during a fireside chat at the event on Tuesday during Korea Blockchain Week, Hayes said AI companies need trillions of dollars for data centers even as the prices of their services fall.
Cointelegraph also described the conference as bringing speakers back to the topic of Wall Street’s competitive edge onchain, alongside Hayes’ comments on monetary policy.
